Laisse aller, laisse Dieu! Let go, let God! (Nov. 15, 2018)

As I write to you today, I am journeying in the beloved city of Brazzaville, Congo for the next month. Life today sings that living is a masterpiece in the making! Life is awesome in many ways , let me tell you why :)

- Before leaving South Africa, the ministry was starting to take off. Through preparing for young adult camp, there are numerous people involved and making a dream possible. Regarding the discipleship community leadership of 11 small group community hosts guides the ship. I believe the Lord will touch the AS Field in courageous and beautiful ways through these leaders and their heart passions!- I have met some lovely brothers and sisters who live with much joy, and we can encourage one another to dream while journeying deeper with the Lord. Life is a gift, not always easy, yet we are helping each other to breathe and dance when possible!

- I was a recipient of a ticket to the Global Leadership Conference last weekend. We heard from many inspirational speakers which ignited ideas within me for the time I am honored to have in SA and this season of life.

- I am journeying in the smaller Congo for the next month and have the opportunity to be immersed among the Congolese people and French. I am grateful for the hospitality of a wonderful family while I am here. It is day two, and we are already enjoying times of laughter and joy. I was graciously welcomed by three pastors here. The love and hospitality of brothers, sisters, and the Church are such a life-giving blessing.

In life "going well," this does not mean things are perfect. Life will never be perfect. It has been a genuine comfort how the Lord has met, stretched and surprised me since arriving in SA. I am grateful for the areas in life that push me to deeper depths of trust and embracing living in freedom in the Lord. May you be encouraged to live without fear. Letting go and, ‘letting God.’ Meaning not clinching our fists and holding so tightly onto something any longer. If we hold onto something too tightly, we can choke the life out of it. The opposite is true with God. If we let go of what was given and entrusted to us, or possibly what we have made of something… God creates something genuinely beautiful and good! In letting God, it means trusting Him, being able to live free through Jesus, finding the comfort and guidance of Holy Spirit. When I mention comfort, it is not a luxury comfort like an easy chair. Comfort helps our heart to find rest, gives us the courage to embrace being the light among the darkness. The comfort of and in the Lord is one that can touch the depths of our being and soul if we allow Him to. I have found this comfort which draws me closer to the heart of God. Through the Lord’s working of comfort in me, He breathes life to many around me even if I don’t feel like I have the energy or all the answers. It is amazing how God meets us right where we are, embraces us, while also embracing those around us. Thus, sending us out as well in the overflow of what the very hands and heart of God have given us. We then become an authentic reflection and humanity of God’s love and reconciliation.May we let go, and let God this week! What can God make of who you are, where you are and what you have?
