Miracles occured in the daily life of Jesus and the disciples, why should we be surprised. To put it simply, everyday miracles can occur when God's heart is encountered by creation. It's the moments when we see a glimpse of the Kingdom of God visible on earth in relationship with God and one another. As mentioned recently, Paul's writing of knowing Christ and the power of his resurrection... (Phil 3) There is a confidence that the Lord gives when one seeks wholeheartedly what the Lord has in the present season of life. One can become fully alive in the Lord while touching earth simultaneously.
I have seen people healed on the side of the streets in cities across the world. I have also struggled with the reality that dear and loved ones have also not seen the healing we would hope for. Miracles are miracles; there is no size of a miracle. God is moving and redeeming and restoring creation, thanks be to God! Why should we be unequally amazed at someone being healed in the Bible, to someone healed today? Why should it matter if a person encounters the Lord in finding hope from depression even when life situations may remain, or someone who's life is transformed? The fact that; God's heart touches the lives of creation and His Kingdom is then seen and expanding is astonishing.
I have found that the limit of visible signs of God's heart touching earth is more limited by our belief or lack of; rather than obtaining some spiritual achievement. Please do not misunderstand what I am saying. Fasting and prayer are crucial elements of active and intentional faith. However, when a person begins to think that they earn more of God's love or holiness, is that not a self-centered and controlling perspective? I want to ask today, what if we live and pray in expectation for God to move and work. It may not be in the ways we expect or always want Him to, but truly live as open vessels for the Lord to sculpt and shape? With faith living in expectation even in our imperfection, God can work in and through us to touch the world. What does this mean for you, that you are invited to the same amazing and humbling journey? You too can see miracles, God's heart touch creation in and through your life. All you have to do is seek the Lord above all else (not easy but possible) and allow Him to use who you are, what you have, and where you are to bring His Kingdom to Earth. What say you? What do you think? Want to try it for a week and see what God can do? Feel free to send in thoughts and experiences, I would LOVE to hear from you.
