Teanna, Jay's wife, and himself have completed consulting work with churches trying to reach out to diverse and local populations.
Jay is passionate about Covenant Discipleship and has led numerous seminars.

Who is the Sunberg Family?
We, the Sunberg family have served as Nazarene Global Missionaries for nearly three decades. While living in Moscow, Russia; Sofia, Bulgaria; Budapest, Hungary; and Poznań, Poland, we have focused on resourcing and empowering people serving in local and district contexts. In the last eight years, leading the response to two major migration movements across Central and Eastern Europe. As the Central Europe Field Strategy Coordinator, Jay oversaw the growth and development of the church in 12 nations, including the entry or re-entry into three countries.
What local ministry you can support while working with Jay:
Jay and Teanna have accepted an invitation from the Metro New York District to co-direct the Mission New York Foundation and to co-pastor a church replant in Manhattan. They return to the US keenly aware that Manhattan, specifically where they live in East Harlem, is yet another new culture for them. They enter this new ministry as learners, focusing on being a missional presence committed to the flourishing of their urban neighborhood. In this earliest phase, they are exploring the significant needs of the immigrant community and the dynamics of the urban setting. Jay and Teanna invite you to journey with the Sunbergs through your prayer and support as they make this significant transition.
